Drought Monitor shows my station in Abnormally Dry area with Moderate Drought a few miles northwest, and with only 0.09 inches of rain this week and the last good rain was 0.84 inches on 5/1, I will set the bar at Moderately Dry. I don't have crops riding on this, but I spent 15 hours moving the garden hose from shrub to perennial this past week. My station is minus 5.91 inches for the Water YTD. 
Lake and McHenry County Scanner online listed this headline on 5/16/25:
"Firefighters in McHenry County kept busy responding to storm-related calls during tornado watch." High winds, dry conditions, tornado watch - we had it going on. AND a tree fell over our dog run late 5/16/25, displeasing Roxie when she went outside later. Will be scheduling a tree service to cut it away. $
