About a quarter inch of rain over two days early in the week. Just enough to wash off the dust and pollen, but not to stop the gradual browning of the fields. Then the strong, gusty north wind returned and is still blowing. This wind makes ocean conditions too rough for water sports or much commercial fishing. This has not deterred the tourists and the area has filled up for the weekend. Lots of birds and other wildlife in our gardens. Waiting to see the fox and raccoon babies show up.
