Condition Monitoring Report – April 2025
Location: Maryland Heights, MO
Reporting Period: January 1 – April 30, 2025
As of April 30, total precipitation for the month reached 228% of normal, marking the wettest Jan 1–Apr 30 period I’ve recorded in the past five seasons. This significant rainfall has led to very moist soils, vigorous vegetative growth, and no observable signs of drought stress.
Grasses are growing rapidly, including in unmanaged areas, and seasonal water features (ponds, ditches, streams) are full or near capacity. The landscape is noticeably greener than usual for this time of year.
Conditions are currently favorable, though continued monitoring will be important as evapotranspiration increases with the onset of warmer temperatures in May and June.
